In today’s article, I will discuss some of the best practices online to get a date.

I have discussed this in other articles as well but in this article, I include some images.

Because let’s face it, you have joined a dating website with the aim of finding someone to love,

in order to do that you need to get on a date.

works online on most dating websites. There is, however, no guarantee that this will work directly for you,

but if you do this you will be much closer to a first date than if you don’t!

As I have written many times before, sending winks are just a waste of time, it’s the thing women

will pay the least attention to. Why? Because they get a lot of them the entire time.

What is the best way then?

The best practice is to send emails, especially for men.

Use proper English or whatever language you use in those emails and check your grammar,

Google Translate is a great tool for that and it’s free.

If you have a text editor that can do a grammar check on your computer, you can use that one too.

Just as with icebreakers, your goal is to make other singles want to learn more about you,

hopefully, they will take the time and read your profile or they might even send you an email back.

Is there a way to guarantee that? No, but if you ask a couple of questions, chances are higher that you

will get a response than if you don’t ask questions. I will give you five examples below but first, let me

show you how my inbox looked on the demo account I started up about a month ago:

So, you are ready to start writing that email and send to her but what exactly should you write about?

The answer is simple: Ask yourself what you have in common with that person and write about that!

I’ll give you an example:

You find this person and after reading the profile you know that both of you like dogs, films, and football.

I would write something like this in the email I would send:

Hi, (profile name)!

I saw your picture and read your profile.

I found it quite striking that both of us like dogs, films, and football.

When it comes to football, I am a Man United guy myself, which team do you like?

I love dogs, I had a very fun dog, an American cocker spaniel once who was absolutely adorable but I had other dogs before him as well. Dogs are great companions, aren’t they? I like to workout directly after my work and during the evening I like to watch a comedy or a sitcom like the Big Bang Theory, I think they are hilarious. I absolutely agree with you that dogs are better than cats but what kind of dogs do you like?

Do you see what I did there? I complemented this person’s interests, asked questions about those interests and didn’t comment how that person looked on the picture. Another thing I did was that I proved that I have read her profile by referring to information I have found in that imaginary person’s profile.

Here’s what you should avoid: Women get a lot of comments about certain body parts according to female members who have complained about that so my advice to you is to write something similar to the example I have given above. Avoid talking to women or men about their body parts. It would not even work on dating sites for casual affairs, so stop doing that!

If you get a response, make sure you read that person’s profile once more. A final advice: If you get an email from someone you can not imagine yourself to date, don’t respond or turn that person down gently. Breaking another human being’s spirit is never okay.

Dating should be a fun and safe experience and after all, we’re all adults and not children. Getting turned down is a quite heart aching experience by itself, don’t make it worse by referring to that person as a “pig” or as an “idiot”.
