The Best Places to Go to on a Date

What are the best places to go on a date, then?

It all depends on whether you’re on a first date or one of the other numerous dates.

In the beginning, I suggest you only have your dates in public places and do things together for a couple of hours before you say goodbye and go to your own home.

A great way to get some inspiration is my 3-in-1 date formula.

That one is most suitable for weekends, but if you are going out on a date with someone on a weekday, I have a couple of other suggestions for you.

If you both enjoy the theatre, why don’t you make that into a great first date for both of you?

10 Places to Go to on a Weekday

My ten suggested places to go to on a weekday are:

  • A local bar for some drinks after work
  • A café for a nice cup of coffee and some chit-chat
  • A visit to the cinema to watch a film that both of you will enjoy
  • A cooking class, so you can cook together and eat together
  • A local museum to enjoy an exhibition that interests both of you
  • A friendly pub with some decent food and meal
  • A picnic if the weather is okay and it’s not too cold
  • A restaurant where you don’t have to wear any formal clothes and where you can enjoy a nice cooked meal and the company of each other
  • A sports event if you both enjoy it.
  • Your local opera or theatre to watch a play, musical, or opera

As you see on my list above, you don’t have to spend a fortune to make a weekday evening memorable.

All it takes is some creative thinking from you.

The most important thing about my list is that you don’t have to do many things or make preparations to do them.

It would help if you kept dates on weekdays as casual and laidback as possible.

The primary key is to not put too much into it and keep it as easygoing and unpretentious as you possibly can.

If you want more dating tips, you can get them in this book.*

The book lists 300 different date ideas that are both inexpensive and unique.

You can look at it and see if that is something you want.

That is unless you want to get my ten places to go to for your “perfect” first date.

10 Places to Go to for Your “Perfect” First Date

So, you want the ten places to go to for your “perfect” first date?

Honestly, there is a reason why I put the word perfect in quotation marks.

There is, of course, no such thing as a perfect first date.

First dates are the most exciting dates you can go to since you are meeting someone who is either entirely new to you or someone you know a little bit about and want to get to know a little bit better.

However, if you have been to a couple of them before, the chances are that you know all about that first date.

For this reason, you might want some fresh ideas for your next first date.

The book lists 300 different ideas, but here are my ten places to go to on a first date to give you some inspiration:

  • A good restaurant where you need to book a table in advance
  • A juice bar where you can drink a lot without being drunk
  • Book a table at an all-you-can-eat buffé
  • Enjoy a healthy meal at a salad bar
  • Do the dating on your lunch hour and enjoy some time together in the middle of the day
  • Go to the zoo and enjoy watching the animals
  • Go to a public aquarium and see how things are under the sea
  • Go and enjoy your city or town as a “tourist” and do things you normally wouldn’t do
  • Join a class and do something that creates a memory and a connection (i.e., learn how to make some pottery)
  • Volunteer at an animal shelter and do some volunteer work

I have tried to share some fresh first-date ideas with you in my list above, and I hope you try or consider trying some of them.

You may also enjoy these ten dating places to go to as well.

I know how hard it can be to get new ideas for first dates and come up with them, especially if you have been out on a couple of first dates.

For this reason, I have decided to give you ten more dating places to go to.

10 Odd Dating Places to Go to

As a bonus, I also decided to share ten odd dating places to go to.

Here is my list of 10 pretty off places to go to on a date:

  • Bee the Queen – go and visit your local beehive and buy some honey.
  • Bingo! Play a game of bingo and enjoy an exciting evening.
  • Cheese tasting – there’s nothing cheesy about it. Just try out some locally produced cheese and support your local farmer.
  • Dine-in, a dive. This is all about enjoying the company and eating an amazingly delicious dinner.
  • Don’t wine about winetasting. Enjoy some locally produced wines at a local liquor store or winery. It is a lot of fun, but you won’t get drunk.
  • Go to the Farmer’s Market – another great place to support your local community and grab decent food.
  • IKEA-furniture puzzle. First, you need to visit your local IKEA store and buy something. Then, you should ask the question: Can we put the piece of furniture together by following the instructions, or will you need professional help to solve this puzzle? If you are too puzzled by this kind of puzzle, you can always try to solve the mystery of how Swedish the Swedish meatballs they serve are.
  • Paintball. Enjoy a game of paintball against each other. Will this make your date more colorful?
  • Parking lot. Have an old-fashioned date by eating some dinner in your car. Enjoy your hamburgers and milkshakes that you bought in a drive-through. Can it be any more like the ’50s?
  • Shopping mall. You never know when this comes in handy. Yes, it is odd, but at least you can look at how comfortable or uncomfortable your date is in a shopping situation.

In this article, I have listed 30 dating places to go to on your next date.

I have used all my creativity and knowledge here, and as I told you before, it is utterly biased since it is based on my own opinions.
