Today’s Article Will Discuss The Difference Between Christian Dating Profiles and Online Dating Profiles.
As You Probably Know Already, I Have Been Writing On A General Book About Online Dating Success For A While Now.
I Also Want To Write That Everything I Write Below Are Examples and Should Not Be Taken As Advice That Will Grant You Success. As You Probably Understand By Now, There Are Many Other Elements You Need If You Want To Find Love Online Today.
Let’s Begin Then…
Christian Dating Profiles
A. Your Screen Name.
When You Set Up A Christian Dating Profile Some Of The General Rules Applies:
Choose A Screen Name That Is Derived From The Bible (This Is The Most Obvious One, I Believe)
For Men, The Alphabet’s First Four Letters Would Give You A Higher Chance Of Catching The Interest Of Females (I Won’t Say That “LikeMoses” Or “JesusDisciple” Won’t Work But They Might Get Less Attention Than “AbrahamIsaac” Or “DevoutDavid”).
For Women, It Actually Matters Less Since There Are More Men Than Women Who Joins Dating Websites In General (“DivineDeborah” Or “SmilingSarah” Might Work Equally Fine). A General Advice For Both Men and Women Would Be: Do Not Choose Anything That Might Provoke Your Fellow Christian Siblings Though.
B. Your Photo Or Video.
Avoid To Wear Red Since This Might Offend Some Christians, Red Is The Color Of Blood But Also The Color Of The Harlot So Avoid This To Be On The Safe Side. There Is Nothing Wrong With Purple, Green, Black, White or Yellow. Choose A Color That Makes Your Photo A Bit Different From Other Members.
While Guys Should Not Smile Since This Is Considered Feminine, It’s Perfectly Fine For Women To Do So.
Would You Consider Having Someone Taking A Photo Of You When You Pray In Church? It Might Work Like A Charm.
Don’t Add A Lot Of Religious Attributes To Make You Seem More Holy Than You Actually Are.
I Recommend That You Wear A Cross Instead Of Adding One Later On Before You Upload It To Your Dating Profile. This Does Not Only Look More Genuine, It Also Tells Other Christians That You’re Not Pretend To Be Someone Who You Actually Are Not.
C. Write Something About Yourself.
Humor Might Work But Dazzle Us With Your Knowledge Of God’s Words, The Holy Bible. Like “My View On Marriage Is Based Upon Genesis 2:23 and I Do Believe That You Must Obey God More Than Humans.”
Don’t Forget To Write About Your Interests Too Like: “I Am A Born Again Christian Who Loves Jesus and I Also Want To Find A Fellow Christian To Pray With, Marry and Watch Comedy With.”
Here’s Another Dating Example: “Through All My Prayers To The Blessed Virgin Mary, I Hope To One Day Be Blessed Enough To Be Able To Start A Family One Day.”
Be Honest With What You Want In A Husband Or A Wife: “I Want A Woman Who Is Beautiful, Loving, A Devout Christian and Mother To Our Children. You Don’t Have To Look Beautiful, It’s Your Heart That Needs To Be Beautiful Since That Is What God Sees.”
Tell Something About You: “I Am Here Because I Truly Believe That God Has Made One Man For One Woman and One Woman For One Man. I Am Ready To Commit To A Woman Fully and Whole-Hearted.”
Here’s An Example With A Witty Comment: “I Love To Sing When I Am In Church Although I Am Totally Tone-Deaf But It’s Singing To God’s Glory and Since I Am A Christian I Know He Will Forgive Me.”
Another Thing You Can Do Is To List Your 12 Favourite Things (Church, Praying and The Bible Included), Your 3 Most Beloved Childhood Memories, Your 7 Most Played Christian Songs/Gospel Songs On Spotify, The 77 People You Forgive Daily In Your Prayers Etcetera. Have You Noticed That I Used This Technique Myself In This Article?
Christian Dating Fears
The Typical Christian Dating Fears Could Be Divided Into Two Main Categories:
Only One Word Comes To Mind: Clarity. Write What You Want and What You Are Looking For.
Yes, It Will Scare Off Some Prospect Dates But It Will Also Be Honest Enough Which Would Increase Your Chances To Get High-Quality Dates Only. In This Case, Less Is More.
