The 5 things that matter the most to all singles are:
- Humour
- Intelligence
- Respect
- Integrity
- Honesty
I will now discuss each and every part in further detail.

Humour
As I have written before, humor is an essential part of dating.
To make someone laugh will make that person more relaxed and increases the well-being of that person.
No matter if you use texting or are cracking a joke on a date in real life, this is crucial.
We all love a good joke and if a person is fun to be around and make you feel good about yourself, that may very well be one of the things that make you “fall” for this person.
Intelligence
This is slightly more important to women than men in general.
Intelligence can be measured but what most singles actually think about is the perceived intelligence of an individual.
I would suggest that the intelligence is divided into three subcategories: empathy (emotional intelligence), knowledge (to use the information you know in a useful and appropriate manner in most situations) and compassion.
Respect
First of all, you need to respect yourself.
Secondly, you have to respect the person you are dating.
Respect can be shown in many different ways.
Your manners and behaviors will show your date that you respect him or her.
This is always important and for that reason, I put it in the middle.

Integrity
To stick with an opinion or to tell your date what you will and won’t agree on shows integrity.
This builds respect and trust in another human being.
To stand by your convictions and not compromise them shows integrity and this is something most humans appreciate.
Honesty
When you tell lies, you erode the trust and confidence the other person has invested in you alreadhy that has been built up over time.
No one likes a liar because people who are lying can’t be trusted.
For this reason, honesty is really important.
