Online Dating Is Not Always Complicated
Ok, you have your list now; it’s time to make it work for you, not against you.
You have to stay true to the personality traits and everything else you’ve put in. What are the things you absolutely can not make a compromise about? Is it height, eye color, hair color, or anything else?
Now it’s time to activate the website’s search function and make it work for you. Start by browsing the website and finding the function. On ChristianDatingInternational, you might have to scroll a bit to find it, depending on which device you use to view the website.
You may see an example below. To make things clear and for simplicity, I have highlighted the search box with a red rectangle.
Browse each and every profile and match it to your list. The search function on the dating website might have narrowed down options by gender, height, eye color, age, and so on, but it cannot help you with everything, and this is where the list plays a significant role.
Be sure to take notes on which profiles tick the different boxes on your list, and make a “tick-list” showing how many “ticks” each profile got. Then you should start by sending an icebreaker message, a flirt, a wink, or something else to at least the 3 profiles that made the most.
If one of them is online when you are, you might start a chat with them too. The important thing is that you take some action and show the other person that you are serious about getting into a relationship and not stop.
Give it a day or two, and if you haven’t got any replies by then, you might contact the next 3 or maybe even more. Don’t forget to repeat these steps at least once a week, since some people might have already found their love and are not interested in contacting you.
Online Dating Is Your Friend, Not Your Foe
From time to time, you meet people who think that online dating is not a great way for singles to find love in the modern world. I don’t agree with them.
The reason why you hear so much negativity about it might be because they have tried it themselves and it didn’t work out because they didn’t follow the steps I described above, or because they have never tried it and is already married and are not interested in finding someone to love, but they just “know” it.
There are other things, too, like love scammers, that make it hard for serious singles to find love, and I have discussed this in many articles before. I just want to apologize for bringing this up again, but I felt I had to remind you of this sad fact.
Negativity is not a good thing, and one thing that always helps singles find love on different online dating websites is the sincerity and honesty of each individual. Having a positive attitude is always helpful, especially when you get rejected.
I always try to maintain a positive tone in most of my articles, since dating should be fun and not seen as a burden. You can make all the lists you want, but if you don’t take action and contact people, nothing will happen. This is the sad fact that no one else tells you about.
However, you should try to remain positive even when it is the hardest. Rejection is hard, but trust God, your gut, and believe in your own ability to find someone to love, and good things will start to happen.
