What are the relationship stages timeline, and what are the stages of getting into a relationship?
If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions or are curious and want to know more about it, you will enjoy reading this article.
I will cover the normal progression of a relationship in this article.
For that reason, I want to share the relationship stages timeline with you to give you a reasonable way to know what stage your current relationship is in and what to expect from it.
First, however, I will cover the four stages of getting into a relationship and the details.
It can be tricky, to say the least, unless you know what will happen and when you should expect things to happen in your relationship.
You will get that if you read the entire article that continues below.
What Are the Stages of Getting into a Relationship?
Before I cover the stages of a relationship and the normal progression of a relationship, you need to know the steps of getting into a relationship.
There are four stages in getting into a relationship, just as there are four phases of relationships.
The four stages of getting into a relationship are:
- Attraction phase.
- Texting stage.
- Dating phase.
- Getting to know each other location.
I have covered every stage of getting into a relationship in greater detail on this blog in the past, so I will not discuss it at great length in this article.
If you want to know how to attract any woman you desire, you need to read this article ASAP.
The texting stage is when you text her and get to know her, and I will discuss it later on in this article and the other stages of relationships right now.
Early Stages of Relationship
There is much uncertainty and excitement when you are in the early stages of your relationship.
However, I have covered four distinct stages of relationships on this blog before, but one of the things you need to understand is that relationships change over time.
In the beginning, there is much excitement and uncertainty. Still, the longer you are in a relationship, the more secure you will feel about yourself, your partner, and your relationship, even when everyday reality kicks in.

One of the things you will experience when you are in the early stages of a relationship, you will have more sex than you will have later on in your relationship.
If it is your first relationship with a woman, you will have to be mentally prepared for that.
You will get to know her in this stage, so this phase is often referred to as the “get to know each other”-stage, or simply the sex phase.
You can expect this relationship stage to happen in the first two months.
What Are the Stages of Relationships
There are four easily identifiable stages of relationships, and most of them follow the same pattern as they do in other human relationships.
For romantic relationships, however, these four phases are known by different names, namely:
- The “get to know each other”-stage or sex phase. It includes everything from texting your crush for the first time to making love to her for the first time.
- The second stage is the “Breakup” or “moving in together”-a set of relationships. In this phase, you will notice things that will make you annoyed. You might break up and get back together multiple times in this phase. The veil of romance will disappear, and reality will kick in since you live together.
- The “get together”-stage. It is where you will either keep your relationship together or break up for good.
- Few relationships get here, but those who do is more likely to last until death do you part. For this reason, it is often called the “forever”-phase. It is in this phase you get married and start a family.
If you want to get into a relationship that has the potential of reaching the forever stage, you will need to know what women want in a man and what she is looking for in a man like you.
I think you will enjoy that article if it is not your first relationship with a woman.
In that case, I think you will enjoy the article “Your first relationship with a woman.” however, as I already discussed, there is more to it than just intimacy.
There are many stages, and the build-up stage or attraction phase is essential.
No matter how experienced or inexperienced you are with the opposite sex, I have published over 700 articles on this blog alone, so there is something for everyone here.
Stages of Relationships in Months
Above, I shared the stages of relationships, but if you are looking for a timeline of your relationship, here is what you can realistically expect for your relationship.
As I already told you, the early stages of your relationship, listed as 1 in the list above, will happen immediately and last for one to two months.
The next phase depends on how fast your relationship is moving.
If your relationship moves fast, it can reach this stage in as little as three months, but the average time for getting the breakup or annoying phase is six to twelve months.
Relationships take time to develop since you will get to know each other better and better as time passes by.
The two last stages only happen if your relationship survives this stage.
For that reason, the third stage of relationships, the get together-phase, will happen in anything from six to twenty-four months.
The last stage can happen as quickly as twelve to twenty-four months but is more likely three to ten years into your relationship since you need to know that you are suitable for each other and be sure that she is the person you want to live with for the rest of your life.
So, as you can see from reading this article, it happens at what pace your relationship has that will determine what phase you will be in at any given time.
Here is an article where I discuss when you can be sure that she’s the one for you.
Is There a Normal Relationship Progression?
Now you know what it takes to get into a relationship and the expected relationship progression since I have discussed the relationship stages and timeline of how relationships develop throughout this article.
Of course, there can not be a definite timeline since all relationships are different and develop differently in pace and time.
There isn’t a typical relationship timeline, which I hope you have realized by now.
All relationships change over time, which I have discussed in this article, and you will know what you should do to get the best relationship you possibly can.
