First Date Ideas
In the past, this blog has discussed the first date in great detail and given some examples of where to go on a first date.
I’ve decided to share some more ideas with my readers on where to go but also give you some idea of why you should go there and why I think it is a good idea to go there.
I hope you enjoy this article, and you are welcome to share it if you find it helpful and comment if you want to tell me what you think about it.
Here is some helpful information…
Awesome Date Night Ideas
There are a lot of places you can go on a first date.
As a general rule, I suggest you keep it simple without eating something heavy.
For this reason, I suggest that you begin by going to an establishment such as:
- A bar or a pub where you can have drinks and maybe a light meal
- A café where you can have some hot beverages and talk
- A fast-food joint where you can eat with your fingers
You might think the last one is not a good idea for a date, but having a light meal can be delightful.
You’re eating something and can talk with your date without being afraid of getting the comment: “You’ve got something between your teeth,” which can be pretty awkward.

Here are four other first-date ideas:
Want to do something exotic but don’t want to travel the world?
First Date Ideas: Going to the Zoo
Try taking your date to the zoo.
It’s a fun way to discover and comment on animal behavior and will create a shared experience you can talk about immediately and in the future.
First Date Ideas: Art Exhibit
If you want a quieter place, visit an art exhibit or museum.
You can discuss the art and impress your date with your knowledge.
If you don’t know a thing about the artist, Google the person and read some art blogs about the exhibit or the current display your local art museum offers.
First Date Ideas: Frozen Yoghurt Bar
An ice cream or frozen yogurt bar can be a great way to visit if you are dating in the summertime.
The food isn’t heavy, you can learn a lot about your date based on what flavors they choose, and it’s both cooling and refreshing.
First Date Ideas: Public Aquarium
Go to the local aquarium.
Talk about the fishes, and if you want to add some extra romance, you can use this exact pickup line to show your date that you are thinking of her (or him).
If you want to learn more about fish, Google them and learn some fun facts about two or three species to impress your date.
As you can see from the above examples, I recommend a lot of activities that are cheap and also easy to visit.
