However, I will now focus on the best dating sites for beginners of online dating.
Dating sites are great, and even if they might seem a bit old-fashioned, especially to anyone below the age of 40, they are still a great way to meet and interact with new people and finding love.
You will have a plethora of dating sites to choose from.
Most of them have apps or works just as well on your mobile devices as they would on a laptop or a desktop computer.
When I wrote this post, I have been looking for known security breaches, known scammers, how actively they work with maintaining security, whom they target, and what they are offering.
If they are working actively to prevent it, they will get a higher ranking than if they don’t.

AnastasiaDate (4.7/5)
AnastasiaDate targets men from Western countries and women from Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe.
They are actively working with maintaining their security and have no known security breaches that I am aware of when this article is written.
To my knowledge, they do not have employees who create fake profiles to lure men into paying them a monthly subscription, even if it never can be ruled out.
They are offering you to create a profile via your Google-account or by filling out a form on their website.
Why they don’t get max: Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers who work on sites like this and even if I don’t know of any security breaches or active scammers, it can not be ruled out. This is true to everyone.

Black People Meet (4.8/5)
Black People Meet is offering an app as well as some safety tips on their website.
I really like what they are doing and they are targeting black singles throughout North America (the USA and Canada only).
So, if you live in other parts of the world, this is NOT a site you can join.
They are sharing some useful dating tips and additional safety tips, which are best practices that anyone may benefit from following.
Why they don’t get max: Since they belong is a part of Match Group, just like OkCupid and Tinder, this raises some red flags.

Unfortunately, they are known for having employees that create false profiles to trick people, especially men, into purchasing a membership subscription which is how they make money.
Cherry Blossoms (4.8/5)
Cherry Blossoms is the oldest dating site in this comparison with its 45 years in business.
If you want to find someone in the Philippines or Asia, you will be able to find you boo to woo right here and one thing that I really like about it is that it offers visa support as well.
If you live in North America or Europe, you will most likely need to apply for a visa to fly to go and visit the man or woman you love.
That is one of the things that I really like about this website.
It is a website specialized in uniting the world, one relationship at the time.
Why they don’t get max: Because they are offering Facebook as a login option, which might not be a secure option.

Christian Dating International (5/5)
Christian Dating International, is just like the name says, an International dating site, which means that people can join them from all over the world.
They are focusing on the world’s largest religion, Christianity.
Needless to say, if you’re not a Christian, this dating site is not for you.
Their website works natively on any screen you may view it on, they have amazing support and shares a lot of valuable information on their website.
Why they do get max: It is the only website who actively is monitoring their user behaviour and they do not use any third-party sign-up version and are storing your information on secure servers within the European Union.

Christian Mingle (4.9/5)
I really like that Christian Mingle is available in more than one language. It has versions in Spanish, French, and German as well as in English.
They offer a lot of helpful, and useful dating tips on their blog, Believe.
Christian Mingle is owned and operated by Spark Networks, which also owns JDate, which is the most prominent dating site for Jewish singles, EliteSingles, which I will discuss next, eDarling, and SilverSingles.
This company is probably the largest competitor to Match Group.
Why they don’t get max: Christian Mingle doesn’t get the highest rating, since they offer third-party login.

EliteSingles (4.9/5)
EliteSingles is international and is a dating brand for professional singles who are educated above the average degree.
I really like how they share their dating advice immediately on the site.
They are available in multiple languages and are brand-leading internationally.
I also like how they share tips on creating a successful online dating profile, which is absolutely pivotal on any dating service that you will join, and that they are offering a coach.
Another thing I like is that they are offering an app as well as a very short form that you need to fill out to join them.
Why they don’t get max: They don’t get max because they are not offering their website in multiple languages on the top.
eHarmony (4.8/5)
eHarmony is focused on the English-speaking dating market.
They have a lot of information on their website and claims to be the most trusted dating brand.
The website reminds a lot about EliteSingles.
In fact, it looks like a carbon copy of it, with the exception that they do not have an app and is not owned by the same company.
Why they don’t get max: They do allow login through social media.

Match.com is a well-known brand in many different countries, and they do offer customer support in many languages and in many locations.
They are offering a free app as well, which is good.
Why they don’t get max: Notoriously known for having employees creating false dating profiles and engaging with real members to keep them paying for a subscription fee means that they do not earn the highest grade.
Zoosk (3.9/5)
Zoosk has a lot more to fill in, compared to their competitors.
It is an international dating site that is available in 27 different languages, and who also offers a free app.
Why they don’t get max: They allow users to sign in with Google or Facebook.

Best Free Online Dating Sites
I would recommend that you stay away from free online dating sites as much as possible since there is a “price” you will pay.
I am not referring to the banners and commercial stuff now.
What I am thinking of is, in fact, your safety, since there are more love scammers and criminals that are active on free sites than on membership subscription sites.
But there are some, that are still monitored in some way, even if they are free.

Coffee Meets Bagel
An old-timer, yet a free site.
Even if I would not recommend joining a free site, this is one of few exceptions, where I would recommend you to join.
Christian Dating for Love and Marriage (Facebook)
An active community on Facebook with more than 6,000 members, as well as a private community.
To get approved, you need to apply and answer three different questions.
Once approved, your actions are monitored, and if you break the rules of this group three times, you will be blocked.
It is 100% free to join.

Facebook Dating
Facebook dating is Facebook’s attempt to take a cut of the dating market.
Even if it separates itself from the ordinary Facebook, you can still import your pictures, as well as your personal information from Facebook.
A good thing is that it is free to join.
It is currently only available in Spanish and English but more languages will be added during 2020.

Good Ones
The downside of this website is that it is only available in Sweden and is only, at least to my knowledge, in Swedish.
They use a local verification method to verify that you are a legit person.
That is really what made it to the list since they are offering a troll- and fake-free zone.
Why they don’t get max: They are only available in Swedish.
Their app is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Ok Cupid
OkCupid is another one that is available both as a free dating site, as well as an app.
They offer a blog as well as safety tips for dating, which is good.
Another good thing is that they have been around for years, and they have taken a lot of security measures to make your experience good and safe.
Their app is available on both the Android Store and Apple’s App Store.
Plenty Of Fish
Plenty of Fish is another free dating app as well as a free dating site that has been around for years.
The platform is available in at least 10 different languages.

The most well-known app, available in 56 different languages, it is the most extensive free dating app and dating website that I am going through.
