3 Things ALL Dating Profiles Need
There are three things all dating profiles need since these are the same elements, no matter who you are or who you want to date.
It doesn’t matter where you create your dating profile, either.
There are three prominent places where singles like you create their dating profiles: Facebook, dating websites, and dating apps.
Your dating profile will still consist of these three parts no matter where you create it:
- Your photo
- Your bio
- Your goals
Your Dating Profile Photo
The best practices for creating dating profile photos differ depending on whether you are a man or a woman.
However, there is still one thing that you should always do.
The picture you select should be a recent picture of yourself, preferably in a situation where you feel comfortable and relaxed.
It will naturally help you attract other singles.

What to Put in Your Dating Profile Bio
The second question you might have is what to put in your dating profile bio to make it stand out.
First, you need to consider your headline or username.
What does it say, and what do you want it to say about you?
These questions are vital to start thinking of before you even begin to create your dating profile.
Your username should begin with A, B, C, or D to get the most views.
Here are some other tips on what to put in your dating profile bio to make it stand out.
What Are Good Dating Profile Headlines?
A good dating profile headline is something that:
- Creates immediate attention
- Sparks curiosity in the reader’s mind
- Creates an emotional response in the reader
Does it sound complicated to you?
It isn’t complicated to do it at all. I have already shown you how to do it above.
The answer is in the question.
By asking someone a question, you create an open loop that the reader wants to be answered.
A good dating profile headline is to open it up with a question.
Want to date someone a bit more awkward than yourself? Here are three dating profile headline examples for you:
- Are you my Prince Charming?
- Do we match? Meet me later.
In my article about the different ways to write your dating profile, I cover some other tips that you might find helpful too.
Your Goals in Your Dating Profile
Writing about your goals is the last step to creating a dating profile that stands out.
What do you hope to achieve with your dating profile?
Please describe a typical day in your future life together to create an image in the reader’s mind that makes it exciting and unique to you.
Write a little bit about what your hopes and dreams are.
By doing so, you will not only create a dating profile that stands out but also reveals something that will hopefully help you attract the right person for you as well.
It works fine on dating sites and the new Facebook Dating-service, but if you are using a dating app, there are a few things you have to consider.
You do not have a lot of text or space to write on.
Your photo must be a lot more attention-grabbing and eye-catching than on a dating site you are reading on a computer screen.
You will have fewer seconds to make someone swipe right on the phone.
Above, I have given you a general overview of what you can do to make your dating profile unique and stand out from the rest of the thousands of profiles on dating sites and dating apps.
In the remainder of this article, I will share more gender-specific tips on how to write your dating profile.
Examples of What to Write in Your Dating Profile
I have given you a few examples of what to write in your dating profile.
I have also shared with you in different articles how completely different it is for men and women to date online and how this impacts how you create your dating profile.
Here are some online dating examples of women who want to attract men.
For example, men shouldn’t smile, but women should smile in the photos they upload to dating apps and dating sites.
This is just one example that shows you how different online dating can be.
I will now go more in-depth on what you should write in your dating profile to increase your chances of finding the relationship you desire and deserve.
Dating sites do work if you do everything right.
However, I want to point out that your mindset is pivotal for your success in finding love.
Your dating profile is a reflection of you and your mindset.
A dating profile is just the tool you have chosen to help you attract what you are looking for and find the “right” person for you.
I will first share some dating profile tips for women and men.
How to Write a Dating Profile Woman
If you are a woman and want to know how to write a dating profile, you must consider a couple of things.
First and foremost, many men will see your dating profile.
Online dating is a numbers game, and it is most favorable for women, even if women also are the most active users on dating sites.
As a man myself, I have to be frank and tell you that most men do not know how they should approach women online or even in real life because they do not know the proper way to approach a woman.
In one of my articles on this blog, I share a couple of female dating profile examples, which I think will be beneficial for you to read.
There you will find some best practices for writing your dating profile.
However, even if you follow these tips, your chances of finding a man that might be right for you depend on the quality of men you attract online.
If it is not the right quality for you, which will be quite different depending on what you are seeking, you will not find any man online or offline.
You should NOT lower your standards.
For your convenience, I have also written an article about how you can attract the right man for you, which you can read on this blog.
That is, however, the next step in your online dating journey.
How to Write a Dating Profile Man
As a man, I can tell you that you are at a significant disadvantage in online dating.
The numbers do NOT work in your favor.
You are in a clear minority of the users, so creating your dating profile can potentially be the start of an incredible journey for you.
However, most men do things the wrong way.
First, they do not write a well-written or well-structured dating profile like these examples.
I was guilty of doing this too, when I began my dating journey.
Secondly, when you approach women, you do it completely wrong.
Most of you wouldn’t approach a woman in real life as you come to women online; at least, I hope you wouldn’t.
Just think of this scenario:
You see a beautiful woman on the street, and you move up to her and give her an indecent proposal while you give her pet names like “honey,” “sweetheart,” “love,” and so on.
Would you do it?
I honestly hope you said no since otherwise. It would be best if you had severe medical treatment to fix your mental problem.
However, many men do just this.
They send indecent proposals and pictures of their genitals, claiming they love a woman they recently just approached.
If you are doing this right now, please stop.
This path is the path of complete and utter disaster and will ruin your life, as well as the experience of many strangers that you will never meet, and if you do, it will be in the courtroom, not on a date!
Here is a better way to approach women online than men.
I have personally NEVER done it, and I wouldn’t do it because you know that it is wrong, right?
Many “pick-up artists” and self-proclaimed dating coaches online claim that you need to do it in this way to show that you are an alpha male and to give her the right ideas of how she should think about you.
This way of dating will probably send you to jail instead of on a date.
Remember this the next time you create your dating profile, whether it is on an app like Tinder, Facebook’s new dating feature, or a dating website like Christian Dating International.
