What are good places to visit on a first date?

In this article, I will cover this vast topic.

If you want other tips on what to do on first dates, you can check out the article covering 10 great things to do on first dates.

This article will focus on places to visit on first dates and continue the last one, but it also has another twist since it focuses more on experiences.

You always will have a first date at someplace, but why not make it into an experience?

Something to remember and discuss on your next date.

10 Places to Visit on a First Date

Below, you will find my top ten places to visit on a first date, starting with the tenth idea and moving up to my all-time favorite place.

Some are more expensive than others, but all of them are relatively cheap.

I didn’t make a crazy list of things that include flying off to a distant location in a private airplane, eating lobster, living in a first-class suite at the hotel, drinking champagne, and shopping in expensive boutiques in Paris.

This might be something you can dream of doing one day, but it just remains a fantasy for most people who read this article.

So, these date ideas are fairly inexpensive.

10. Zoo A Great Place for a Snooze?

first date ideas,
Going to the zoo can be an educational experience as well as quite entertaining.

Why not take a trip to the zoo?

You will find many exotic animals in the zoo, some of whose behavior might be related to you.

Besides being a fun experience, it is also an educational one where you can learn a lot about animals and even watching endangered species, such as the giant panda.

This just made it to my top ten.

9. Public Aquarium, It’s Not a Fishy Thing!

Going to a public aquarium is another great first-date idea.

Looking at the wonders of the sea, even the creatures living in freshwater and brackish water is a truly amazing experience that is best enjoyed together.

Just imagine watching the feeding of the shark tanks, the furious piranhas, or the majestic sea-horses.

These things only happen at public aquariums and are great topics to discuss on your second date and create unforgettable lifetime memories.

8. Ballet, A Cultural Dance

Watching a ballet could be very enjoyable, especially if both of you like things like Swan Lake.

Ballet can be a great experience, especially if both of you like it.

You might not be into fine arts for appreciating great performers.

If you want to spend your night watching well-trained, professional performers dancing on a stage where tights never go out of fashion, then ballet is definitely worth a visit on the first date.

This might not be an ideal option for you, but I know of one particular situation where ballet can impress your date.

Ballets are something that many women from Eastern Europe appreciate, so if you’re dating a Russian or Ukrainian lady, you should definitely consider ballet as an option for a first date.

7. Art Exhibition, Not For Everyone

Another great place to visit on a first date is, of course, an art exhibition.

Especially if it’s an exciting new artist, a classic painter like Van Gogh, or some experimental artist known for controversy, it might be worth a visit on a first date.

It might also be a shared experience that you can talk about for your future dates.

6. Museum, Not Necessarily Boring

Museums are great places where you can learn about different things.

If you both are into learning or gaining new experiences, a date at the museum can be a place worth visiting as well as a great learning experience.

There are many different kinds of museums so you can pick anything that interests both of you.

5. Circus, Don’t Run Off with It But Visit It!

Want to run off with the circus?

It’s probably not the best idea for a first date but definitely worth a visit.

Circuses offer much entertainment, spanning from animals doing tricks to humans doing things you never thought possible.

This can be the study of full human potential.

As long as no one of you has coulrophobia, going to a circus can be a fun experience and something to discuss on your second date, right?

4. Public Park – Not Recommended After Dark

If you want to walk and experience the great outdoors without hiking, visiting a public park can be a great first date as well.

There are things to do in most public parks, flowers to smell, hearing birds twitter, feeding ducks at the ponds, watching scenic bridges and pavilions, maybe even combining it with a picnic.

Parks are great places to enjoy a piece of nature within the boundaries of hectic city life.

Some parks also offer you to hire a boat.

This is a very romantic thing that you can do, and since love and romance really are something women appreciate, why not take a boat and see how your date floats?

Impress your date by taking her on a boat.

This will make her gossip with her friends about this great guy that she was on a date with recently, and this is something you want if you’re a guy.

3. Sing Karaoke – Will You Create Great Music Together?

Singing karaoke can be another great experience.

Visiting a karaoke bar is very popular in Asia and Western Europe, and it’s a fun thing to do for both people who can and can’t sing.

Everything becomes even more fun after a couple of drinks.

Having the same sense of humor and sharing a common interest will increase a successful date.

If you want a second date, then you want your first to be successful, right?

Sing by yourself or sing a duet with your date, and you will hopefully create a night worth remembering for quite some time.

Preferably you combine duets with you and your date taking turns singing.

2. Bowling – Will Your First Date Be a Strike?

Going to a bowling alley or a sports bar that offers bowling can be a great way to figure out if your date will be a “strike” or not.

will your first date be a strike

Even if it’s just the two of you, or preferably if you’re on a double date together with someone else, bowling is a great idea.

Don’t just visit the bowling alley. Play the game!

The more, the merrier, as the saying goes, and bowling is both fun and can be a competition between you and your date, the two couples or lads versus lassies, aka the battle of the sexes.

1. Theme Park – Will Your Date Roll Faster Than the Roller Coaster?

The theme park is the most exciting place and my favorite of all the places I mentioned before on a first date.

In a theme park, there are a ton of things to do.

Why not take a trip with the roller coaster, feeling the adrenaline pumping in your veins, having a visit at the funhouse, the horror house, and finishing the visit with a nice and romantic ride in the love funnel.

The theme park is my personal favorite because you can choose to experience a lot of different emotions.

It is memories made together that make a date great.

Emotions and getting to know the other person is what dating really is about, isn’t it?

Different emotions allow different chemicals to be released in your brain.

I have discussed this many times and something that I will get back to in the future.

Theme parks are also much more diverse than the one I referred to here.

If you share a common interest and a theme park about it, why not visit that theme park?

Now, you know my ten favorite places to visit on a first date.
