We’ve asked Rickard, our dating coach who has given us some intriguing facts about dating.

Dating Online Is A Good Way To Begin
Dating online is, of course, one of the best ways to begin your dating adventure, especially if you are over 18 years old and are looking for a serious relationship. “If you are younger, you normally ask someone out and go on a date with that person” according to our dating coach, Rickard.
He continues: “But if you are a bit older, then things starts to get a more complicated almost instantly. I remember when I first started out, how insecure I was around women about my age and how secure everybody else seemed to be.
The best thing is to just ask someone out that you have met at a social event or maybe on a dating site but there are some fall-pits with the latter way to date.”
The fall-pits are of course that people can lie to you or pretend that they are someone or have created a profile in somebody’s name that they are not allowed too. “That is why a good way of dating is to ask someone to add you as a Facebook friend, follow you on Twitter or some other social media and try to verify that it is a real person and not someone made up”, Rickard says.
“Starting your dating experience on a dating website is, of course, the best way to start”, Rickard says and continues: “especially if you are a shy person, the anonymity might actually be a bit liberating for you since no one knows who you are”.
We would also like to add that your username and password should be unique to that dating website and not the same as you use on a social media website.
Dating online is the best way to begin and you need to set your priorities straight before joining a website. How many hours are you prepared to put aside from your life on a daily, weekly or monthly basis? How much information would you like to share? Are you prepared to spend some money on a dating site or not? These are some of the questions that you need to answer yourself.
Rickard adds some general advice: Always remember, to be honest with your intentions, use humor to make your disadvantages become advantages. Basically, make yourself more “dateable”.
How Things Might Evolve
We asked Rickard how things should evolve from starting on a dating site to a real relationship. He adds some of his insights drawn from his expertise and also from his own personal experience: “You always begin by flirting and writing some emails to profiles that you feel are interesting.
Then, of course, you need to send more emails, text chat and maybe even talk a bit longer with that person and finally have a video conversation, which I think is one of the benefits with websites like christiandatinginternational.com and the Gold membership that our members can sign up to with unlimited video chat included.”
