In this blog post, I won’t give you dating advice.

Instead, this short post is all about the Easter holiday or, more specifically, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Day, and Easter Monday. All images in this post are courtesy of FreeDigitalPhotos.Net.

There will be a short explanation of every day of this holy week and links to an article that discusses the specific day in more depth.

Read more below…

Maundy Thursday

A Single Drop Of Blood

Suppose you don’t know why we celebrate Maundy Thursday. In that case, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ were betrayed by one of his disciples when he first instituted the Holy Communion. Recommended reading: Matthew 26:26 and Mark 14:22.

Good Friday

This Is A Wooden Crucifix

Jesus was sentenced to die on the cross and to atone for me and all other sinners of this World, not for condemnation but so that we could all be saved through Him. Recommended reading: John 3:16-17.

To find out more about why we are celebrating Good Friday, you should read that article.

Easter Day

The women are finding an empty tomb. An angel tells the woman the great news: Why are you looking for the living among the dead? Where is Jesus? He is not in the grave where they put him after the crucifixion. He is not here; he has risen from the dead. Recommended reading: Luke 24:6.

Suppose you want a more in-depth explanation of why we celebrate Easter Day. In that case, this is the most comprehensive article I’ve found on the Internet about this essential part of Christianity.

Easter Monday

On this day, two male disciples meet a man on the way to Emmaus, and they are devastated. When they sit down to eat, the stranger reveals his true identity. He is the risen!

If you want more in-depth knowledge about why we celebrate Easter Monday, this article is for you. Recommended reading: John 1:5.

Next blog post

My next blog post will be published on Wednesday, the 30th of March, 2016.

It will be about leaving your comfort zone.

See you then,
Rickard
