- Hagar and Ishmael are taken care of by an angel (Genesis 21:17)
- Sarah and Abraham were visited by three men, who were disguised angels and one of them delivered the message to Sarah that she should be giving birth to a son, and name him Isaac. (Genesis 18:12)
- An angel stops Abraham from sacrificing Isaac (Genesis 22:11).
- Angels appear on a ladder in Jacob’s dream in the house of God (Bethel) in Genesis 28:12.
- On multiple occasions, angels appear to Moses and the Israelites (Exodus 3:2, 14:19, 23:20)
- An angel delivers a message of the birth of Samson. (Judges 13:3)
