Have you ever wanted something cold, creamy, and comforting during your period?
Sugar, honey… I know I have.
Some mornings I don’t feel like making a full breakfast. On other days, I want something refreshing that still keeps me full.
That’s one of the reasons I love smoothies.
They’re quick, easy to customize, and one of my favorite ways to enjoy fruit, Greek yogurt, and other wholesome ingredients.
These are the smoothies I find myself coming back to again and again during my period.
Why Smoothies Can Be a Great Choice During Your Period
One thing I’ve learned is that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated.
Some mornings, making breakfast feels like a chore.
Making a smoothie takes less than five minutes, which means I’m much more likely to actually eat something nourishing instead of skipping breakfast altogether.
That’s a win in my book.
Other mornings, I like to cook some eggs along with a few of the other breakfasts I share in my article about my favorite menstrual phase breakfast ideas. They’re obviously my personal favorites, so I’m a little biased, but hopefully they’ll give you some inspiration too.

My Favorite Smoothie Tips

I’ve picked up a few little habits over time that make smoothies even easier.
🍓 Buy frozen berries.
🍌 Freeze ripe bananas before they become too soft.
🥣 Keep Greek yogurt in the fridge.
🥛 Don’t overthink it.
Some of my best smoothies happened because I simply used whatever I already had at home. If you’d like even more ideas, I’d love to share some of my favorite healthy smoothies for every phase of the menstrual cycle.
