Introduction
In this blog post, I will discuss why it’s not good to be alone and also give you some insights on what you can expect during this Christmas.
So, let’s begin with the reason why it’s not good to be alone…
It Is Not Good For The Man To Be Alone
We humans are made in God’s image and are social beings, in need to find someone to live with and to bring up children and being the best raw models we possibly can be.
This is what the Bible actually tells us when God commands, “It is not good that the man should be alone! I will make him a helper fit for him.” (my italics, Gen. 2:18 ESV)
So what does this quote from the Holy Bible tells us?
It tells us that being a social being isn’t just something that is crucial for the modern man, it has always been crucial and is actually a command from God that we should interact with other humans.
He who himself is one essence but three presences is communicating within the Godhead and is, in fact telling us to go out and find someone to love.
This is true for both men and women since “God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Gen. 1:27 ESV). Finding someone to love is to recognise that you are in need of love and that by doing this, you are doing it, to mirror the presences within the Godhead.
You are of course more than welcome to join a dating service that will help you to find someone to love, a professional matchmaker or just getting some help from a friend to nudge up your profile a bit and become one of the success stories.
What Will Happen On The Blog During Christmas
As you probably already know, the seasonal dating for Christmas has already been published and I hope you had time to read about it before.
However, the entire team has written a series for this Christmas and it will be the conclusion of the series “Why do we celebrate this holiday?” It will run for two days, Christmas day and Boxing Day. After a short break where dating during new years’ will be published, the Christmas-series will continue on the 12th day of Christmas.
I will give you one clue: It has absolutely nothing to do with a cartoon on the television, a bishop from Turkey, a tree or even the Jewish festival of lights (Hanukkah) but everything with the best Christmas present ever given to humanity: Jesus Christ, Saviour of all humanity.
Next blog post
My next blog post will be published on December the 23rd 2015
It will be about the people who lived in darkness.
