How To Behave Decent In Dating?

Below I Will Quote A Number Of Bible Passages And Then I Will Give You A Comment About How They Applies To Dating.

The Bible Clearly States How We Shall Behave Towards Others (All Quotes Are From The English Standard Version):

“You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry” (Exodus 22:22-23)

This means that we shall treat those who have been treated badly when they dated others, with the utmost respect and don’t mistreat them.

Even if they are already mothers or have no parents in life so that we honor our heavenly Father.

“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God” (Leviticus 19:34)

This means that we shall be dating with an open mind. Christians live in all cultures and societies around the world and may look differently on the outside

but it’s the same Christian faith that lives in their hearts.

“Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.” (Colossians 4:1)

This means that we should treat our dates with respect and show them love and affection to honour our Father in heaven even if they are in a weaker position financially or emotionally than we are.

“Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.” (Hebrews 13: 3)

We are one body, as Christians and we shall not judge each other for the wrongdoings or wrong paths we might have chosen previously in our lives.

If we do, we are not true bodies of Jesus Christ but should be cut off from that body.
