Asking a woman questions over text can either create attraction or make the conversation feel like a job interview.

The difference usually isn’t how “clever” the question is.

It’s whether the question fits the connection you already have.

“What do you do for work?”

Fine question.

“What are you wearing right now?”

Potentially a very different conversation – and probably a terrible opening message to a woman you’ve never met.

If you want to turn her on over text, you don’t need to make the conversation sexual immediately.

Often, the better approach is to create curiosity, playfulness, imagination, and a little anticipation first.

Here are 11 questions that can help you do exactly that – plus when to use them.

1. “What’s Something About You I’d Never Guess?”

This is one of my favorites because it gives her complete freedom to steer the conversation.

She might tell you something funny.

Something adventurous.

Something embarrassing.

Or something surprisingly personal.

Why it works

You’re inviting her to reveal something that isn’t obvious.

That immediately makes the conversation more interesting than exchanging basic facts.

And once she answers, don’t rush to the next question.

Talk about her answer.

The purpose isn’t to complete all 11 questions. It’s to start one conversation worth having.

2. “What’s Something You Find Attractive That Most Guys Would Never Guess?”

This moves things closer to attraction without asking:

“What turns you on?”

That’s an important difference.

Why it works

You’re inviting her to talk about attraction while leaving her in control of how sexual or nonsexual her answer becomes.

She might say confidence.

A particular accent.

Forearms.

Kindness toward animals.

Someone who can make her laugh.

Or something considerably more provocative.

Follow her lead.

If she keeps the conversation light, keep it light.

If she makes it flirtier, you have room to respond.

3. “What’s Your Idea of a Perfect Date If You Could Do Absolutely Anything?”

This sounds innocent.

And it can be.

But it also gets her imagination involved.

Why it works

Instead of talking about dating in the abstract, she starts constructing an experience.

Maybe it’s wine in Italy.

A spontaneous road trip.

Pizza and a movie at home.

Dancing somewhere until 2 AM.

Pay attention to the details.

You’re learning what kinds of experiences make her excited – and you may also get an idea for an actual date.

If you’re struggling to move from texting to meeting in person, that’s important. Sometimes the problem isn’t getting replies at all; it’s that she keeps texting but doesn’t want to meet up.

4. “What’s Something You’ve Always Wanted to Try but Haven’t Yet?”

Again, don’t assume her answer will be sexual.

That’s not the point.

She might want to skydive.

Take a cooking class.

Visit Japan.

Learn salsa.

Sleep under the northern lights.

Why it works

The question shifts the conversation from what she normally does to something she imagines doing.

And imagination is useful in attraction.

If the conversation develops naturally, you can even play with the answer:

“Salsa? Okay. But I’m warning you now that one of us is going to embarrass ourselves.”

Now there’s a tiny imaginary scene involving both of you.

5. “What Would We Probably Get in Trouble for If We Spent a Whole Day Together?”

Don’t use this as message number three after matching with her.

Use it when you’ve already established some playful chemistry.

Why it works

The word that matters isn’t “trouble.”

It’s we.

You’re inviting her to imagine the two of you together without making a serious romantic declaration.

Maybe she answers:

“We’d get kicked out of IKEA.”

Perfect.

Now ask why.

Let her build the scene with you.

That’s much more interesting than feeding her a prewritten fantasy.

6. “What’s the Most Attractive Thing Someone Can Do Without Touching You?”

Now we’re clearly talking about attraction.

But we’re still not asking her to describe explicit sexual acts.

Why it works

The question creates tension precisely because it separates attraction from physical contact.

Her answer might be:

Eye contact.

Whispering something.

Making her laugh.

Being decisive.

Cooking for her.

Standing close.

Whatever she says, you’ve learned something real about how she experiences attraction.

That’s much more useful than assuming every woman responds to the same “irresistible” behavior.

7. “What’s Something That Instantly Gives You Butterflies?”

This is another attraction question that allows her to choose the intensity.

Why it works

You’re not asking her to analyze attraction intellectually.

You’re asking about a feeling.

That can bring memories and experiences to mind.

Emotional associations are one reason memorable conversations can stay with someone after the phone goes back into her pocket.

That’s a big part of how to make her think about you when you’re not around.

8. “What’s Something a Guy Can Say That Immediately Gets Your Attention?”

This one has an obvious benefit.

You’re essentially asking her what she responds to.

But don’t mirror her answer immediately.

If she says:

“I love it when a guy notices something nobody else does.”

Don’t respond:

“I notice something nobody else does about you.”

That’s not smooth.

That’s data collection.

Why it works

Women aren’t interchangeable.

The more you understand what this particular woman enjoys, the less you need generic texting formulas.

9. “What’s Something You’d Only Do With Someone You Really Trusted?”

This question is more intimate, so timing matters.

Don’t throw it into a casual conversation with a stranger.

Why it works

Trust and attraction aren’t opposites.

For many people, greater trust is what lets flirtation, vulnerability, and intimacy deepen.

Her answer may not even be sexual.

Maybe she’d travel somewhere spontaneously.

Sing in front of someone.

Tell them something she’s embarrassed about.

Let them see her without makeup.

Whatever she says, respect the level of vulnerability she chooses.

Don’t immediately try to push it further.

10. “If We Disappeared for a Weekend, Where Would You Take Me?”

This is probably one of the flirtier questions on the list.

Again, context.

Why it works

You’re creating a future scenario.

She has to imagine:

Where are you going?

What are you doing?

What would spending an entire weekend together feel like?

This is a simple example of future pacing.

There’s nothing supernatural about it.

Human beings imagine possible futures all the time.

But future pacing is also one of the more interesting mechanisms behind some much more dramatic claims made in online dating products.

We’ll come back to that.

11. “What Do You Think Would Surprise Me Most About Dating You?”

I like this one because it combines attraction, personality,y and imagination.

Why it works

She has to temporarily imagine what dating her would actually be like for you.

Maybe she says:

“I’m much more affectionate than people expect.”

Or:

“I’m ridiculously competitive.”

Or:

“You’ll discover that I steal all the blankets.”

Now you have somewhere to go.

“The blanket thing may be a dealbreaker.”

Playful.

Personal.

And you’re both participating in the imaginary scenario.

Don’t Ask All 11 Questions

Please don’t turn this article into tonight’s interrogation schedule.

You aren’t supposed to send:

Question 1.

Wait for answer.

Question 2.

Wait for answer.

Question 3.

That’s not flirting.

That’s a survey.

One good question might create a conversation that lasts an hour.

That’s better than asking ten clever questions that go nowhere.

The best questions give you something to respond to.

And sometimes her answer will naturally lead to one of the things you can say to turn her on over text without forcing the conversation in that direction.

Can Questions Really Turn Her On Over Text?

Yes – but not because the question contains some hidden psychological command.

Questions can change what someone is thinking about.

Ask her about work, and she’ll probably think about work.

Ask about her dream vacation, ion and she starts imagining places.

Ask what gives her butterflies, and she may remember situations where she felt attraction.

Ask where the two of you should disappear for a weekend, and she has to imagine the two of you somewhere together.

That’s why imagination matters so much.

But there is a huge difference between helping create an enjoyable flirtatious conversation and believing you’ve discovered a way to control someone’s thoughts.

She still decides whether she wants to participate.

The Question Matters Less Than What You Do With Her Answer

This may be the most important part of the entire article.

Suppose you ask:

“What’s something you find attractive that most guys would never guess?”

And she says:

“A man who remembers small details.”

You now have two choices.

You can move immediately to the next clever question.

Or you can remember what she just told you.

Then two weeks later, she mentions something and realizes:

You remembered.

Which one do you think creates more attraction?

The question opened the door.

Paying attention is what made the answer matter.

That’s why the best texting advice eventually stops being about texts.

It’s about the connection you’re creating through them.

What Does This Have to Do With the “Girlfriend Button”?

Quite a lot, actually.

One of the central ideas behind The Girlfriend Button is getting a woman to picture possible experiences involving you mentally – essentially a form of future pacing.

The product’s marketing wraps that idea in much more sensational claims involving “mind control,” subliminal messaging, and psychological warfare.

I wouldn’t confuse those claims with what we’ve been doing here.

Asking:

“If we disappeared for a weekend, where would you take me?”

doesn’t control her mind.

It simply invites her imagination into the conversation.

Whether she wants to go there with you is still entirely up to her.

If you’ve seen the sales presentation and want to know what’s behind those claims, what the product teaches, and whether it’s worth buying, you can read my complete The Girlfriend Button review.

Ask Better Questions, Then Listen

You don’t need 100 questions memorized on your phone.

You need curiosity.

Ask something that fits the moment.

Listen to her answer.

Notice what excites her.

Remember what she tells you.

Tease her when the moment is right.

Let the conversation get flirtier when you’re both taking it there.

And occasionally ask a question that gives her imagination somewhere interesting to go.

Because the goal isn’t to make her answer your questions.

It’s to create the kind of conversation she wants to continue.
